Thanks to the generous support of a private benefactor from the Netherlands, the OpenDoorUkraine.nl foundation has received solar equipment, which will be donated to the Ptakha Camp children’s camp in the village of Severynivka, Vinnytsia Oblast.
The humanitarian aid consignment comprises:
– 355 solar panels for generating electricity;
– 6 Growatt inverters to power the solar energy system;
– The total weight of the humanitarian consignment is approximately 10 tonnes.
OpenDoorUkraine.nl is organising the transport of the equipment from the Netherlands to Ukraine in collaboration with our partner, the Stichting Spoetnik – humanitaire hulp aan Oekraïne foundation.
For us, this is more than just a handover of equipment. It is an investment in the sustainability of Ukrainian initiatives which, even under difficult conditions, continue to operate, develop and create safe spaces for children.
The installation of solar panels will help Ptakha Camp reduce its dependence on the centralised electricity supply, cut electricity costs and make the camp’s operations more stable.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to our benefactor from the Netherlands for their trust and invaluable support, to the Stichting Spoetnik – Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine foundation for their partnership and logistical assistance, and to the Ptakha Camp team for their vital work on behalf of Ukrainian children!
