Restoration of the roof of a residential building.
The roof restoration project Luch 24 Residential Complex in Shevchenkiv is a response to the urgent need for roof repair at this residential building. Located in Shevchenkiv District, the area suffered significant destruction when it was on the front lines during the early months of the war. After the liberation of the eastern parts of the Mykolayiv region and the Kherson region east of the Dnipro River, the front line has been withdrawn. This has enabled the return of internally displaced persons and refugees, many of whom find their homes or apartments in a state of disrepair, some severely damaged or destroyed.
The Luch 24 residential complex, with 24 apartments and approximately 60 residents, bore the brunt of the conflict, with parts of the building partially destroyed and the roof damaged. Temporary measures included closing roof holes with plastic. Working with local authorities and the State Energy Efficiency Fund (SEEF), ODU has taken on the crucial task of repairing the roof as its first and foremost priority.
