Restoration of a mental health institution.
Following the successful completion of phase one, which included the rehabilitation of PBS Building No. 6, ODU has identified another donor to continue supporting the restoration efforts for the Psychoneurological Boarding School (PBS). Phase two focuses on addressing the roof damage to the main building.
The Oskil PBS plays a vital role in providing care and support to individuals with disabilities and mental health needs. It serves as a vital resource for the Kharkov region and beyond. Recognizing the importance of this institution, ODU and its partners have taken on the mission to restore and rehabilitate the PBS following the extensive damage sustained during the conflict.

Target group and results:
The ongoing phase two of the Oskil PBS Restoration project holds great promise for the future. Depending on safety developments and prevailing conditions, this phase has the potential to enable more patients and clients to return to the PBS where they can receive essential treatment, care and support.
The restoration of the roof of the main building is a crucial step in ensuring the sustainability of the PBS. By closing the roof, the project not only protects the facility from further structural damage, but also paves the way for the return of patients and clients to a safe and dignified environment.
