OpenDoorUkraine.NL, together with Stichting Hulpacties, provided emergency funding of €40,000 to save the I Am Kherson programme, which was under threat of termination due to the loss of funding from USAID.
Today, we are pleased to announce that all necessary procurement has been completed and assistance is already reaching those who need it most. People in Kherson Oblast who have limited mobility are receiving rehabilitation equipment: walkers, toilet chairs, canes, pressure ulcer mattresses and more.
We are grateful to the ‘I Am Kherson’ team and all the volunteers who provide logistics and delivery of the aid in extremely difficult conditions.
