Reconstruction of the roof of a residential building in Irpin.
The Irpin-3 OSBB Aristocrat Phase One project represents the beginning of the rehabilitation journey for a residential building that suffered severe damage during the early stages of the conflict. This building, consisting of 43 apartments and housing for approximately 170 residents, bore the brunt of the Russian tank shell attacks, causing significant damage to both the roof and facade. The OSBB (Housing Co-Ownership Association), with the support of local authorities and other generous donors, had already taken crucial steps, including clearing war rubble and purchasing building materials to rebuild the roof. However, the crucial task of closing the roof before the harsh winter months required additional financing.

Target group and results:
The successful completion of phase one helped provide a roof over the heads of approximately 170 residents affected by the conflict. This timely intervention helped protect the building and its occupants from further weather-related damage and capital loss.
ODU provided 49,500 euros in financing, from the Dutch embassy in Kiev, allowing the OSBB to contract a local construction company to carry out the roof closure. This support not only maintained the structural integrity of the building, but also ensured the safety and well-being of residents during the challenging winter conditions.
