On 21 June, the winners of the National Competition “Charitable Ukraine – 2024” were awarded under the slogan “Charity in Defence of Ukraine”
This year, 1,790 initiatives from all over Ukraine and abroad took part in the competition.
Winners were selected in 25 categories, and we are delighted to announce that OpenDoorUkraine.NL took third place in the “Foreign Aid” category!
This recognition is the result of our daily joint work with Ukrainian communities, volunteers, local partners and international allies.
The ceremony, organised under the auspices of the Ukrainian Philanthropists Association, was attended by volunteers, philanthropists, international partners, government officials and the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska.
In her speech, she emphasised that ‘volunteers are Ukraine’s true superpower,’ supporting both the defence and civil society.
It was especially valuable to share this day with our trusted partners Dobrobat. We are sincerely grateful to the team with whom we are implementing a number of important initiatives to provide assistance, support and recovery. This partnership is a shining example of how joint efforts bring about real change
