On 11 November, the OpenDoorUkraine.NL, Rawblox and Hempire UA team had the honour of joining the Science. Education. Business – 2025 Forum: “Cooperation between science, education and business for the victory and reconstruction of Ukraine”, which took place at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (NULES).
This event became a powerful platform for dialogue between universities, business, and the state, with over 500 participants, including company executives, representatives of higher education, scientists, and civil servants.
We wholeheartedly support the idea that science, education and business are not separate worlds, but a single ecosystem that shapes Ukraine’s sustainable future. The thematic sessions on reconstruction, the innovative economy and the synergy between the academic community and business were particularly valuable.
One of the key topics of the forum, which is becoming particularly relevant, was the green reconstruction of Ukraine and carbon trading. During one of the panel discussions, our partner in the Build Back Bio project, Serhii Boiko, presented his vision for the development of hemp-straw construction — an innovative, environmentally friendly approach that combines the principles of decarbonisation, circular economy and sustainable use of resources.
For us, this is not just about innovation — it is about a responsible future in which education, business and communities unite around a common goal: to build a sustainable, modern and environmentally friendly Ukraine.
We are grateful to the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine and all the forum organisers for creating such a platform for meaningful dialogue.
The Build Back Bio project is implemented with the support of the Ukrainian Partnership Fund (UPF) — a programme of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) implemented on behalf of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
