We are grateful and proud to announce that the first phase of the joint humanitarian program OpenDoorUkraine.NL, MediaHuis Noord, and Charitable Foundation ”I AM KHERSON” has been officially completed.
MediaHuis Noord plans to continue this project, and we believe that this is only the beginning of a great endeavor.
From March 9 to May 31, 2025, we worked every day for those who needed help the most people with limited mobility, the elderly, and bedridden people in the frontline city of Kherson.
In a city just 10 km from the front line, even basic necessities are a luxury. But we were able to get to where human presence is a vital necessity.
Project results:
1,461 people received care and necessary supplies
Among them were 1,258 people aged 60+ and 158 people aged 18–59
1,791 items of critical aid were delivered:
– 143 commode chairs
– 180 pairs of crutches
– 301 packs of diapers
– 352 packs of diapers
– 470 electric blankets
– 130 anti-bedsore mattresses
– 110 walking sticks
– 105 wheeled walkers
These are not just things. They are a chance to move, stay warm, maintain dignity, and survive. They are a sign of care and humanity in the darkest of times.
